No matter how meticulously man plans, any evil scheme waged against a child of God is sketched right before divine eyes on a sacred calendar. God created time, and no human can take it from Him or use it against Him. Time is significant to God mostly because His children who are temporarily bound by its tenets are significant to God. Every man-scheduled date subjected upon one of His children is written, no just on a doctor's calendar, a hospital's calendar, or a trial judge's calendar. It is written on God's. For each person given one year to live, trust that time is God's alone to give.Esther was very brave to go to her husband, the king, and tell him the truth of her ancestry. She had to come to terms with the fact that her honesty my cost her life. But, she understood that God's plans for His children are to honor them when they honor Him. Even if her honesty resulted in her death, she knew that God would be honored through her sacrifice. I'm sure Esther was terrified. You cannot have bravery without fear. She trusted her God and He honored her for her trust.
It is scary when the fate of your life is placed in the hands of humans. I understand that fear is not from God, but when in the midst of really difficult circumstances it is difficult to not feel fear at all. Just driving down the freeway last night with my family, fear creeped into my heart and seized me for a moment. The only thing I can do is to push it away, pray over it, and move on. The fear is of the unknown...just as Esther feared the unknown.
